In partnership with Stratford District Council, we're in the process of applying for Local Nature Reserve status for the Lench Meadows, part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership funded Riverside Project.
Having an engaged group of volunteers is important to the long term success of the Lench Meadows and our ambition is to add ecology and conservation to our other strands of volunteering activity that already take place at the Guild Chapel and Foundation House. Research has shown that volunteering, especially in the outdoors, brings health and well-being benefits and a reduction in depression and stress.
You're invited to attend a session led by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust’s Team Wilder, whose vision is to empower us all to help bring about nature’s recovery in our local area. The WWT team will share the benefits and practicalities of volunteering, with examples of other local community groups.
Through this fun and informal session, we want to understand how you think the Lench Meadows can help people connect with nature and wildlife locally; how you would like to be involved and what, if any, barriers to involvement exist.
The session will be held on Saturday 18th March 1.30pm – 3.30pm at Foundation House 144 Masons Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 9EF
Refreshments will be provided. Limited free parking available
