As part of Random Acts of Kindness Week, Stratford Town Trust are hosting a community event that encourages people to take part in small acts of kindness while having fun. The event, Helping Your Community Grow, is open to all and will be held at the Ken Kennett Centre on Justins Avenue in Stratford on Saturday 19th February, from 12pm – 3pm.
Drop-in activities on the theme of kindness include rock painting, planting with Team Springboard and finding out about volunteering opportunities. Stratford Timebank will be on hand to teach people how to crochet simple flowers and tags that can be given as gifts to others. Refreshments will be available and there will be an opportunity to find out more about Stratford Town Trust’s work in the community and how you can get involved.
Fran Donnelley, Community Hub Manager at Foundation House said: “Random Acts of Kindness Week is a week dedicated to kindness and taking that extra step to brighten somebody’s day. This event is a great way to get more involved with your local community, meet your neighbours, have fun and spread some joy!”
