Member Elected Trustees
Every four years the terms of office of the five member elected trustees comes to an end, triggering an election process. For this round we are delighted that 18 local people have come forward as candidates.
Our trustees play a central role in supporting the Town Trust team, ensuring that we operate to the highest standards of charity governance and help us deliver our vision of creating a vibrant and connected community.
How do I vote?
To ensure rigour and an independent arm’s length process we use the Civica Election Services (formerly the Electoral Reform Service) to manage this on our behalf. CES send out all nomination forms, ballot papers, collect and count votes. Only then do they inform Stratford Town Trust of the successful candidates. The election uses the single transferable vote system.
If you are already a member of Stratford Town Trust then you will receive your voting forms and instructions in the post on or around the 22nd April. You will be able to vote online or by post or ‘phone. Voting closes on Tuesday 17th May.
If you are not a member of the trust and wish to vote in the elections, joining us is free and very easy. You simply need to upload one proof of address item and complete the form by 5pm on 19th April.
Be sure to cast your vote by 5pm on Tuesday 17th May.
