We've been at the heart of our community for 500 years, providing annual grants of around £1.2 million of support to local schools, charities and community groups. To help us achieve our aim of creating a vibrant and connected community in Stratford, we're launching our largest ever consultation and invite you to help shape our future!

The results of the consultation, which opens on 16th January, will directly feed into the Trust’s strategy for 2026 -2031, influencing how funds are spent for the benefit of the community. In 2024, in addition to grant funding, we provided free community events and family workshops at our Community Hub, a programme of free summer concerts at the Bandstand, helped to run a monthly Repair Café in partnership with Net Zero Stratford and cared for green spaces at Rowley Fields and Stratford-upon-Avon Local Nature Reserve.

Sara Aspley, Chief Executive at Stratford Town Trust said: “This is an exciting opportunity for local people to shape our priorities for the next five years – how we allocate grant funding and the ways we support our local community can be decided by you and will benefit those who live, work and study in our town.’

As a result of public responses to our last consultation in 2019, we prioritised young people as part of our grant funding, resulting in the bringing together of five partner charities to form Stratford Youth Collective, which resulted in Stratford Youth Hub, a thriving and welcoming space for young people to meet, have fun and access support.
